The purpose of Paul's Letter to the churches of Galatia is to encourage them to remain rooted and grounded in Sound Doctrine and live holy lives. These truths are still vital today for every believer, helping us remain free in Christ Jesus to serve Him. Therefore, in these opening verses, Paul helps us see three characteristics that will remind each of us that we are all working together in serving Christ as we see His Kingdom grow.
The first characteristic is that Leadership is Appointed by God-v. 1
The second characteristic is We are Labors in the Kingdom-v. 2
The third characteristic is the Reason to Serve the King-vv. 3-5
